Smoothies vs juices

This week end, I was watching David Wolf on TV demonstrating how to create Superfoods in your kitchen with the new Nutribullet and he gaved me a new idea. I have been craving for my favorite winter juice of:

  • 10 carrots
  • 2 oranges juiced
  • 1inch of fresh ginger
  • 5 stems of celery

So I decided to experiment and create a Superfoods smoothie with my Vitamix and some of those orange color fruits and vegetables and here is what I came up with:

  • 1/4 of strawberry papaya
  • 2 oranges juiced
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 inch of fresh ginger
  • 1/2 -1 cup of water or coconut water

It was delicious, thicker, not too much and I used less ingredients. Also, I reused everything, no pulp went to the compost.
I love switching my food colors, taste and texture. If I need to eat lots of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables for the rest of my life, let’s be creative. Sometimes juice, sometimes smoothies!
