
5 Tips for Juicing and Blending to Prepare for a Colon Cleanse
It’s time to dust off that juicer and bring it out from storage because there’s nothing quite as refreshing in the warm weather as a fresh, raw juice.
I created this recipe today on a bright and sunny afternoon. I knew exactly what I was going to make because it was sitting in my fridge- a juice with cantaloupe, cucumber and carrot.

- Save time – Wash and prepare your fruits and vegetables before your store them in your fridge. Clean your juicer with a little vinegar and water.
- To peel or not to peel – It’s best to peel non-organic grown fruits and vegetables to reduce exposure to chemicals and pesticides. Also fruits with thick peels like citrus, mangos, bananas…
- Avoid chunky smoothies – To make your drink more palatable use a Vita Mix and blend your greens with your liquid first then add the remaining ingredients.
- Avoid plastic bottles – Pour and store your juices and smoothies in a glass as essential oils digest chemicals and so plastic.
- Less is more – How many drops of essential oils should you use? When using essential oils in juices and smoothies for flavors and health benefits, one drops or less is the most palatable. Add more to taste.

My Summer Cleanse Juice
1/4 cantaloupe, 2 medium cucumbers, 1 carrot, 1 drop lime or wild orange essential oil
Combine ingredients except essential oil in a juicer. Juice and add essential oil last.

Creamy Green Smoothie
½ cup almond milk, ½ cup coconut water, 1 stalk kale, ½ banana, ¼ avocado, 1 tbsp hemp seed, 1 drop lime essential oil.
Combine ingredients except essential oil in a blender. Blend and add essential oil last.
