Transitions are wonderful experience in which we pass from one phase into another. Take a moment and think about some significant transitions in your life, some great memories, some painful events, yet you move forward and grew.

Cedarwood is extracted from wood chip of the Eastern red cedar. It acts as a sign of strength, dignity and nobility. It is a  great oil for this month because it:

  • Heal dry skin like eczema and acne
  • Soothe dry scalp and promote hair  grow that have been hibernating
  • Makes you feel grounded, supported and prepared
  • Arthritis relief
  • Natural sedative
  • Improve focus and ADHD
  • Bug repellent
  • Fight fungus infection
  • Has antiseptic properties
  • Natural deodorizer
  • Natural diuretic
  • Cough relief
  • Stress relief
  • Help with weight and blood pressure
  • Stimulate metabolism
  • Calm and balance the nervous system

Now let’s see how Cedar can help with this seasonal transition.

Every morning before putting your shoes on, put a few drops in your hand and rub the bottom of your feet to start a focused and relaxed day.

There are so many shampoo and conditioning products on the market today that it can be overwhelming and confusing.  It’s too dry, too oily or too flaky. Which hair careproduct is best for me? Read the label and choose the product with the least ingredients.

Starts like a Lion, ends like a Lamb

March has this reputation and we find that sometimes our “lion’s” indulgences require some “lamb” care. Again, Cedar can help. Constipation – now there is a beast that requires gentle and immediate handling so you feel better sooner.

Overindulgence Remedy

  • 5 drops Cedar
  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 5 drops Lemon
  • 5 drops Peppermint
  • 15 drops Rosemary

Mix oil in 2 tbsp olive or coconut oil and massage lower abdomen in a clockwise direction three times a day. This blend can be used for several days until you are back to be regular.

WARNING: because Cedar contains thuyon, it should never be taken orally.
