Lavender is extracted from the freshly-cut flowering tops of the plant harvested during the July and August. The harvest is done during the hottest time of the day because that’s when the essential oil content of the plant is as its highest.
The name Lavender comes from the Latin word lavane, which means “to wash”.

Uses
Counter cleaner
A few drops of Lavender in a water spray make a pleasant and mild disinfectant for countertops. For stronger action add a few drops of eucalyptus.
Foot odor remedy
- 4 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Peppermint
- 6 drops Rosemary
- 1 drop Tea Tree
Add the above oils to a warm basin of water. Soak your feet for 10 minutes. Pat them dry with a soft towel.
Or rub a few drop of the EO mixture directly on your feet.
Après-Soleil oil
First spray apple cider vinegar on your skin. Then mix 5 drops of Lavender in 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Gently rub onto your sunburned parts.
After using public bathrooms
Use a few drops to clean and disinfect
When changing bed sheets
Put a few drops on your pillow cases for relaxation and sweet dreams
Caution:never put Lavender (or any essential oil) in your eyes. And always wash your hands after working with essential oils so you accidentally rub some into your eyes.
