No Time for Break-fast?

Yummy Breakfast Smoothie Recipe:

(serves 1)

  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ of a ripe avocado
  • Handful baby spinach leaves
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk or water
  • Blend, put in a mason jar, and sip on your way to work.

Creamy watermelon smoothie

  • 3 cups cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup cashew yogurt
  • ½ cup homemade cashew milk

Blend, put in a mason jar and enjoy your break-fast.

Detox strawberries bliss

This strawberry, beet, smoothie is made from five simple ingredients – strawberries, beet, banana, milk and yogurt.

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • ½ small cook or raw beet
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup cashew yogurt
  • ½ cup homemade cashew milk

Cashew Milk

Makes 4 or More Cups

1 cup raw cashew, soaked for 8 hours
4 cups water
4 dates soaked in water (optional)

Remove the cashew from the soaking water and place them with the dates and the date water in a high speed blender. Add 4 cups of fresh water. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes until the cashew are ground down.

Next, slowly pour your cashew milk into a mason quart jar.

Place it in the coldest part of the refrigerator. The milk should last 3 to 5 days before spoiling.

A healthy smoothie contains:

  4. Creamy milk
  5. Protein
  6. Probiotic rich yogurt
  7. Superfoods
