Cedarwood

Oil of Grounding & Letting Go

September arrives with a quiet invitation to pause, reflect, and release.

As summer begins to soften into autumn, we can use this seasonal transition as a reminder to let go of emotions, patterns, and experiences that no longer need to be carried forward. Cedarwood essential oil can be a beautiful companion for this process.

With its warm, earthy, grounding aroma, Cedarwood creates a sense of being rooted and supported. Its scent can help turn our attention inward, encouraging moments of stillness when we need space to acknowledge what we are feeling.

Emotional release doesn’t mean forcing ourselves to “get over” something. Sometimes, letting go simply means creating enough safety and quiet to allow an emotion to be felt, witnessed, and gently moved through.

Try diffusing Cedarwood during an evening meditation, journaling session, or quiet moment of reflection. As you breathe in its grounding aroma, ask yourself:

• What am I ready to release as I enter this new season?

Take a slow breath and imagine creating space for what comes next. Let Cedarwood remind you: you don’t have to carry everything with you. Some things are meant to be acknowledged, honored, and gently released.

With each exhale, visualize releasing what feels heavy.

• What is my soul ready to leave behind?
• What am I being invited to make space for?

Let Cedarwood remind you that release is not loss. It is an act of trust — trusting that when we create space, something new can gently find its way in. You might gently repeat:

I release what is no longer mine to carry.
I cleanse my energy with love.
I return to my center.
I make space for peace, clarity, and new beginnings.”

Remember, cleansing doesn’t have to be dramatic. Sometimes it is simply choosing to pause, breathe, feel, and consciously decide what you are ready to leave behind.
